Garrett and Danielle Pettie have been a part of CLC since Day 1. They are committed to the mission of the church and to making Jesus known throughout Port Alberni. Between balancing their own small business (Hone and Strop) and their growing family of 5, they also spend countless hours serving on the leadership team at CLC. Garrett also serves on our teaching team as one of our Sunday Gathering communicators. 

Karleen brings a wonderful perspective to understanding the word of God. With a deep desire to really apply what we are learning, she always brings great take aways and next steps from whatever passage we are studying. Karlene is married to Tyler with two kids (Hugo and Maisie) and also serves at the West Coast General Hospital as an RN. 

Melissa brings a wonderful depth of study to our teaching team at CLC. She loves to read and dig deep as she helps us understand what God is teaching us from the bible. This paired with her fresh new faith and she is able to bring a fresh new perspective to the word of God and it's implications for our everyday lives. Melissa is single mom, with her wonderful son Brennan. She also manages a Day Care in town as an Early Childhood Educator. 

Amy loves diving into God’s Word and helping teens make sense of it in real life. She’s always believed that the best way to teach faith is to live it, and she tries to do that every day. Her heart for youth ministry started when she was a teen herself, serving at Camp Bob and in Young Life, and it’s only grown since then. She’s married to Isaiah Tiede, and the two of them serve in youth ministry together. They’re both passionate about creating a place where students feel welcomed, encouraged, and free to grow in their walk with Jesus.
